On December 7, our county held a forum on veteran employment and entrepreneurship together with a plaque-awarding ceremony for “Veteran Entrepreneurship Demonstration Enterprises” and “Veteran Entrepreneurship Demonstration Sites”. Relevant leaders from the County Bureau of Veterans Affairs, County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, County Administration for Market Regulation, County Vocational Education Center School and County Rural Commercial Bank attended the event, alongside winners of the 2023 Weifang Veteran Entrepreneurship Competition, representatives of some veteran-founded enterprises and individual veteran business operators from our county.

At the ceremony, Gao Xingjiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the County Bureau of Veterans Affairs, and Zhang Zhipeng, Member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the County Rural Commercial Bank, presented certificates of honor to local veterans Pan Hao and Wang Ronghua, who won first prize in the 3rd Weifang Veteran Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition. Leaders from participating institutions awarded plaques to “Veteran Entrepreneurship Demonstration Enterprises” and “Veteran Entrepreneurship Demonstration Sites” of our county.

Since the beginning of this year, the County Bureau of Veterans Affairs has prioritized veteran employment and entrepreneurship in high-level planning. Through a series of support measures under the campaign of “I Do Practical Things for Veterans”, the bureau boosts their aspirations and capabilities to consistently advance the high-quality development of veteran employment and entrepreneurship. To guide and motivate veterans to actively join the wave of entrepreneurship and innovation, the bureau has vigorously promoted the implementation of various supportive and preferential policies, provided thoughtful services for veterans, established long-term mechanisms, and regularly carried out surveys on veteran employment and entrepreneurship, ensuring the targeted implementation of relevant support policies and measures.

Going forward, the County Bureau of Veterans Affairs will continue to regard veteran employment and entrepreneurship as a key annual task. It will improve working mechanisms, refine work allocation, increase support intensity, integrate resources from the government, market, social organizations and other parties, adopt multiple measures and promote joint management to create a new landscape for veteran employment and entrepreneurship work in the new era.
