The series of events for the coordinated development of veteran employment and entrepreneurship in the Yellow River Basin and the Exhibition & Matching Fair for Veteran Entrepreneurship and Innovation Achievements opened in Dongying today. Yu Chaoyun, Deputy Director and First-Class Inspector of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Department of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, Liao Fayin, Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs of Shandong Province, and Chen Bichang, Mayor of Dongying City, attended the launching ceremony and related activities.

Veterans affairs departments from the nine Yellow River provinces and autonomous regions including Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and Shandong held a joint meeting. They signed a memorandum of understanding and issued the Dongying Initiative. By establishing a coordinated development mechanism for veteran employment and entrepreneurship across the nine provinces and autonomous regions, the participants will build consensus, pool resources, complement each other’s strengths and pursue win-win results. Extensive exchanges and cooperation will be carried out in veteran education and training, talent exchange, entrepreneurship and innovation, rural revitalization, ecological protection and other fields to promote high-quality development of veteran employment and entrepreneurship work in the Yellow River Basin.

Comrade Pan Hao, General Manager of Shandong Best Integrated Housing Co., Ltd., Comrade Zhang Yuhang, Director of the Technology R&D Center, together with the company’s business staff, responded to the organizational call and actively took part in the exhibition of veteran-founded enterprise achievements. They showcased three products: the 7th-generation lightweight dual-wing smart expandable housing, the 7th-generation lightweight invisible foldable rapidly-assembled housing, and high-performance off-grid mobile integrated restrooms (waterless, powerless and movable). 

The products won high recognition from other participating veteran-founded enterprises. Participants discussed the expandable technologies of our products and acknowledged the adoption of 5G, stealth technology, ultra-lightweight wall panels, high-sealing mechanical structures and pneumatic structures in our upcoming R&D products. They look forward to the wide application of our R&D achievements, and friends interested in future smart technology housing are welcome to visit and conduct research at our company. 

The three-day inaugural Shandong Provincial and Yellow River Basin Exhibition & Matching Fair for Veteran Entrepreneurship and Innovation Achievements kicked off concurrently. With the theme of “Glorious Yellow River · Veterans Shine through Entrepreneurship”, the expo aims to fully display the entrepreneurship and innovation achievements of veterans in Shandong Province and the entire Yellow River Basin, build the brand of “Shandong Veteran Entrepreneurship”, expand sales channels for veteran-made products, and provide a cooperation platform for veteran-founded enterprises for exhibition, product promotion and project matching. This marks the first centralized showcase of Shandong’s veteran entrepreneurship and innovation achievements and a grand exchange event for veteran-founded enterprises along the Yellow River. It is reported that 168 veteran-founded enterprises from 16 cities in Shandong and 55 veteran-founded enterprises from other Yellow River provinces and autonomous regions took an active part in the exhibition. The exhibits cover agricultural products, non-staple foods, commercial manufacturing, daily services and emerging industries, involving more than 30 sectors such as traditional handicrafts, biotechnology, technical services, food processing, new materials, environmental protection technology and marine fisheries.
